@minjunandkevin: We were completely shocked by the news 😱 Part 4 of our adventures at the Osaka World Expo 2025! 🇯🇵 We actually saw this popular daily fountain 🌊 show called “Under The Midnight Rainbow” 🌈 before it got shut down due to the bacteria infestation. It was on our very first day at the Expo, and you can actually get a great view without a reservation. It was pretty spectacular! There was a story with animated characters that unfortunately we weren’t able to see as well from our vantage point from the side because the projections were right in the middle of the metal doorway ⛩️ But we were shocked to hear that shortly afterwards, the show got shut down - due to reports of large amounts of legionella bacteria 🦠 in the water! Legionella bacteria causes respiratory issues and lung disease, including serious pneumonia, and the waters around the Expo had it in concentrations 20x - 25x above the recommended limit 😮 The water show has been shut down since June 4, and currently, they’re cleaning 🧼 the water around the Expo. The show might reopen when it’s safe, but for now, go see more pavilions (the rest of the World Expo is still running!) When water show returns, here are our tips ⬇️ 1. Don’t waste a reservation on it - find a spot near the water in front of the doorway to watch 2. Shows are at 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM - catch the 7:30 PM so you don’t have to fight the crowds trying to leave 3.
