I feel people just mix up Frisk/Charas character where in undertale their gender WAS up for interpretation, using their name when addressing them during narratives or just “you” whereas in deltarune it’s clearly stated in literally every dialogue box it’s “they” pronouns used. like cmon ._.

the whole “gender is up for interpretation thing” only held *slight* merit for frisk in the early days of undertale. kris is always been intentionally non-binary with they/them pronouns. it’s just ignorance at this point 🙄

Also it's just straight up disrespectful to real non-binary people, yes separation of fiction and reality is very important but just because Kris is a fictional character doesn't give you the right to be transphobic, non-binary people can have typically gendered names and still use they/them and none gendered terms for themselves and you are showing real non-binary people that you do not care about their identity if they don't completely aline with what you yourself think a non-binary person should be, Toby Fox is literally known for his queer representation in his games if you can't respect even fictional queer characters then you should go play the billion other games that have cis male protagonist, stop taking away representation from non-binary people we barely get any as it is
