@karissa.gardens: Did you know if you mix one scoop of freeze dried eggs into your cats food every single day it will knock out the antigen that causes allergies? Let me know if you want to know more of the science behind this, but it is scientifically proven, and we’ve been doing this since we got our cats in December and as long as we give our cats one scoop every single day we have no allergies. #cat #catsoftiktok #sheltercat #blackcat #maincoon ##allergies

I thought the protein was only found in the egg if the free range chickens were around cats?

Purina Pro Plan has food called liveclean. It contains the eggs that neutralizes the allergens and it’s dry food. Much easier and it works. I use it.

Fel d 1 is the main allergen that cats produce. It’s a protein found in their saliva, skin, and dander. Some companies have developed chicken egg–based products that contain IgY antibodies targeting Fel d 1. When cats eat these products (usually added to food), it reduces the active Fel d 1 they shed. This doesn't cure human allergies, but reduces the amount of allergen in the environment, which can make symptoms less severe for people allergic to cats. feeding them eggs doesnt help with allergies but it is thought that if the chickens are raised around cats they will produce the antigen, hence where what you're saying comes from. but if the chickens have not been raised around cats they do not produce this and do not help with allergies. im in vet med btw

My husband is allergic to cats so I fed ours Whole egg powder that I got on amazon. He’s never reacted to our cat but still reacts when we go to someone’s house that has cats so I can positively say it works.

This is true but only if the chickens are raised around cats because you are allergic to the saliva cats produce (most times) so when the chickens are raised around cats they produce a specific thing in the egg making process that counter acts the allergens.

Has to be eggs that were layed by chickens that are raised around cats. It’s not just the egg protein.

So I have free range chickens and I have cats. The cats eat the eggs. Is this the same?
