What we call “witchcraft” today was the ancestor of religion itself. It’s humanity’s original way of connecting to the sacred. Witchcraft is not a “religion” in the formal sense—but It was the first spiritual system, rooted in direct connection with nature, spirit, and intuition. It predates gods, temples, and scriptures. It was experiential, local, and passed down through intuition, ritual, and oral tradition. Witchcraft roots into believing in other spiritual beings or beings, but using that to tie into nature and the planet the way human beings should. While religion focuses on also believing in a spiritual being, but then labeling everything as “satanic” including using Earth as medicine. Even though the biblical stories did that too (and even outside of religion, what they did pre-modern day medicine) yet somehow it’s labeled satanic. Yes, using the Earth etc is plant based magic. It’s witchcraft. I know a lot of religious people seem to think all witchcraft is, is sacrificing people or something😂😂😂The spiritual practices we now call “witchcraft” are far older than Christianity—and were part of humanity’s earliest relationship with nature, spirit, and survival. Some will argue “Well, just because it wasn’t discovered first, doesn’t mean anything. God has always been there. Even if the belief system itself didn’t have a name yet because it wasn’t founded yet.” And while at first glance of that statement, I can understand why it makes sense to a believer. But let’s get into why that’s not logical. I understand your belief that YOUR God (because many religions that believed in God also existed before Christianity was discovered) always existed and was simply undiscovered until Christianity emerged. But if we’re looking at this from a historical and human perspective, it’s important to recognize that long before Christianity—even long before written language—humans were connecting with the world around them in deeply spiritual ways. They honored the moon, spoke to the land, worked with plants, and revered the spirits of their ancestors. These aren’t just random traditions—this is what we now call witchcraft, and it’s the oldest form of spiritual practice on Earth. While Christianity teaches people to look upward or outward to find God, witchcraft teaches us to look within and to nature—forces that humans have experienced directly for tens of thousands of years. Saying that God was always there even though no one knew Him is faith, not fact. And by that same logic, I could say the Earth has always been divine—even before people gave her a name. So if we’re going to argue which path is more ancient, more natural, and more rooted in human experience, it’s witchcraft. It’s not about rejecting God—it’s about remembering that the sacred was here long before anyone claimed to name or own it. Nothing is satanic about using the planet we live on. According to your own Bible “Everything Adam and Eve could ever need would be within the garden provided” What do you think people did pre-modern medicine? No God would send you to hell, for using the nature he provided you. He made Earth healing for a reason. What’s Satanic is over half of the stories taught in the Christian Bible which involve murder, sacrifice, incest etc. All in the “love” of God to show faith and obedience. YOUR the very evil you try and claim others are. There is a reason why witches were burned and killed. There is a fear in what the “government” cannot control or understand.
