Though we're no longer under the Old Testament, we learn from it. During the Mosaic period, only Aaron and his male descendants could serve as priests (Exodus 28:1). There were no female priests because the role foreshadowed Christ, our High Priest (Hebrews 4:14), who came as the second Adam. So, Paul wasn't contradicting himself he upheld God's consistent design. Scripture teaches that a pastor must be the husband of one wife (1 Timothy 3:2), clearly indicating a male role. This, along with the all-male priesthood under the Old Covenant, reflects God’s consistent design for spiritual leadership. So, Paul wasn’t creating something new he was continuing what God had already established.
