and sadly that was kind of its problem, it was too graphically demanding to run smoothly on the average pc. maybe one day we’ll get to see what it really could’ve been (i want longhorn plex to be real so bad)

Don't tell me Vista was ahead of its time just because of the frutiger aero. That OS was a disaster in its time! Many applications and drivers are not optimal in Vista and in my opinion Vista almost made Microsoft discontinue the Windows business.

Back in 2008 at my workplace there was a Dell Workstation which nobody wanted to work on because it was running Vista. I asked the IT to get that workstation and works with it for about 3 years, I had no issues at all, it was working smoothly and it was a real pleasure to use it. I kept getting mocked by my colleagues for using Vista, because “it sucks dude!” but I didn’t care.

The mouthy one :
I had a high end pc and I put Vista on it. 5 mins to boot and then it had serious bugs graphics drivers failed, sound failed, Bluetooth failed it would lock up the pc and had to be powered off which would lead to recovery mode which always failed. After several clean installs I gave up and reverted to Xp. When 7 came out I installed it on the same machine and it worked beautifully for 6 years. It now runs windows 10 flawlessly. So Vista was absolute Bunk!

Windows vista era bueno pero salio en una epoca donde las pcs solo tenian 512mb de ram y igp de rendimiento bajo (las intel con chipset 945g fueron las primeras graficas integradas que tenian soporte AERO pero pocos lo tenian) y los drivers para las gpus (nvidia, ati) no estaban muy optimizados para windows vista. De alli pasaron años hasta que salga windows 7 ya cuando las pcs en su mayoria tenian 2gb de ram, igp mejoradas y drivers optimizados. 😎
