The higher I felt, the lower I’d fall. That’s why I went on meds.

I disagree, I am in a manic episode right now, and I’m having both euphoria and aggravation at the same time. It blows my mind

Sensationalist. How about ‘depression is a significant and often debilitating part of bipolar disorder, with many individuals experiencing more depressive episodes than manic, or hypomanic episodes. While mania defines the condition, depressive episodes are typically more frequent and can cause greater impairment in daily life.

Love hypomania, only time I feel good. But the daunting reality is there’s always a crash of depression following right behind. Then you’re pushed back even further. And the cycle repeats. It’s like crawling yourself half way up a ditch, you think you’re getting out then you fall right back down.

my biggest motivation for taking my meds is so that my hypomania doesnt turn into mania. mania ruins my life whenever it happens😅

we may feel great for awhile but it’s not real. Hyponania/mania is dangerous because of the rage. It’s something you can’t explain unless you’re bipolar - the rage and danger is literally a few split seconds away, anything can happen.

Hypomania scares me. I don’t feel like myself and I’m super scared of mania. So I would never dare to get off my meds.

is important for bipolar people to learn to ground themselves so they don't fly away. if you try just to suppress mania, it comes with more force.

as my diagnosis is bipolar 1, I truly felt no movie could mimic what I have felt also what I have done. Nobody could understand the feeling, you cannot describe it. You are so happy, extremely happy. Way beyond happy.

And then I’m in mixed episode and everything sucks. Trying PRN meds but that’s tough when your psych doc doesn’t agree with PRN treatment.
