@joshterryplays: Being dangerous is far more complex than simply being able to throw a punch. It’s something responsible for incredible accomplishments in the world. And we value it highly. A skilled guitarist who makes shivers run down your spine while you sit in the audience is dangerous. A painter that expresses the pain of a generation and a writer that communicates ideas that spark people to action is dangerous. Dangerous people are the ones that play on the edge of order and chaos and are willing to go a bit too far to see what’s over the edge. It’s scary to have people like that in the world. There’s a risk to having dangerous people in your life and there’s risk to being dangerous. But it’s what we want. It’s what we value. And it’s where everything we live for in life came from. You have to learn restraint and to channel your capacity for danger in a positive direction, of course. But being consciously dangerous is one of the most valuable things you can do for the world. #SelfImprovement
