As my hubby says, you may have the right of the way as a pedestrian, but, if you get hit, the car is always going to win. They walk behind cars that are backing up as well. They don’t stop and wait 🤦🏻♀️. I make eye contact when I’m walking.

I’m a bigger guy, if I don’t watch out for grocery store/mall/public walkers that are on their phones, we would bump into people constantly, AND I would be the one in trouble
