I’m a manager and one of my workers does the same sports as me so we see each other at events some weekends. Had some of his friends tell some others that “she’s his manager so can boss him around” and I’m very quick to say “not here I’m not, this ain’t work, we’re both off the clock and I’m not his boss out of the office”. I also make it a point not to bring up work when we’re at events because who wants to hear about work on the weekend!
