The economy of ASEAN, especially in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines are run by ethnic Chinese or Chinese descendants or Chinese origin people! Visiting majority Muslim Malaysia is not like visiting Saudi, there are about 8 million ethnic Chinese live in Malaysia, and 7.5 million of them are local born and raised! There are 2.5 million Indian descendants and also other ethnic groups in Malaysia. Malaysia is a very diverse country! 🇲🇾

I'm a pretty seasoned traveler and mad ppl I met in Southeast Asia said that Thailand has become too formulaic compared to other untouched SEA countries. And it didn't seem authentic because of the over tourism taking over, which is ironic cuz they're a tourist saying this😅

Loved Thailand since my early 20s. Have been coming back for over 20 yrs. Unfortunately Thailand has attracted the worst in travelers the past couple of years. Just look at social media posts from recent people who are now moving there in droves. Also hasn’t improved on road safety, air quality, water quality and new things to do like nearby countries.

Medical is not B level I. Thailand unless you are looking for one, but A level is there for those who can afford it. Malysia is a nice country no question.. but Tourisme is about cycles no drama

TOT have spent way too much on attracting and too little on the infrastructure to make them come back. Most developments are from private sector and other than BKK, its almost zilch for the rest of the country.

I don't think so 🇹🇭 is just experiencing tourism fatigue.. and their occasional nationalism flares up. the Thais are extremely patient, obliging & service oriented
