I've never caught a damn thing on red worms. Always use earthworms because they've never failed me. I've caught bluegill, crappie, golden shiners, catfish, and bass on worms.

I completely agree with u about the wax worms but out here we can only get em for ice fishing but grasshoppers work really well for gills too

well I'll say one day I had a bluegill swallow the hook n some of it gill stayed on my hook wit a red worm n after that they burnt it up n the gill piece never came off but the worm did eventually come off so I wondered what would happen wit jus the gill... they ate it up😁
