as a woman, I've always felt disgusted by people who become obsessed with true crime, the commercialisation of real people's suffering disgusts me, I've yet to hear any podcasts or documentaries that show respect for the victims and their loved ones

Not vehicle manslaughter, I followed a trial for almost 3 years knowing that a woman was being framed for allegedly hitting her BF with her car in Canton MA. Two trials and Karen Read was found not guilty.

The person most likely to 💀 us is the man in our lives. Vigilance is a must! The number has only escalated year after year. Strangers are my least concern, it's the coo coo manipulators we know who see us as a possession.

He’s right that it depends what kind of murder. It’s because murder is a show of physical and emotional strength and dominance, so it speaks to our evolutionary survival brain. Like, you want him to use that to protect you. Hitting someone with a car doesn’t speak to that.

For me personally, I don't stan murderers. it's more wanting to know about the victims who didn't get to live a full life and, guiltily, for things "to not do" if I'm ever in their situation. which feels victim blame focused but it wasn't their fault they were programmed to be polite.

@RHWyn94: I felt the ‘because we keep getting murdered’. We need to be aware ALL the time, we need to know how to act, what to say, what to avoid at ALL times. It’s exhausting but when we watch these, we’re more informed.
