P.S—- These next photos were taken during our early formation stages. I was an aspirant, and Sister was a postulant. This isn’t related to school at all.. we weren’t students, lol! Decades ago, two young women stepped into the convent… strangers in the eyes of the world, yet already joined by the quiet mystery of God’s calling. We did not know each other then. We arrived with different stories, different wounds, and different hopes. And yet, through the gift of vocation, God gathered us together, weaving our lives into one shared pilgrimage of faith. Throughout these years, we have walked through seasons bright with grace and seasons heavy with silence. We witnessed not only the joys of community life but also the hidden struggles that shaped us from within. We saw each other’s tears, celebrated each other’s small triumphs, and held space for each other’s questions. What makes this journey truly beautiful is not that it has been easy. It is beautiful because in seeing each other’s ups and downs, the rains and the rainbows, we learned to understand one another more deeply. The more we discovered each other’s vulnerabilities and strengths, the more compassion grew between us. In learning our co-journer’s story, we came to see the gentle work of God in her life. And along the way, something unexpected and precious happened, we came to know each other’s families, even without meeting them personally. Through shared stories, memories, and prayers, we embraced them as our own, recognizing that the people who shaped our sister also became part of our own journey. In loving her, we learned to love those who loved her first. After those years, we stand not only as sisters by vocation but as companions molded by shared experiences, united by our desire to follow Christ. Our journey continues, not because we are perfect, but because God is faithful and because He places in our path the people who teach us how to walk with courage, patience, and joy. 😇
