I tell you how we fix all of this. Cops, teachers, transportation, government workers need to strike. Stop spend anything but what you need to survive. Show up and ask to speak with your rep, give them no peace.

Indiana is running a per capita surplus of 3600. Compared to Illinois with a debt burden of 37,000 per capita and it continues hemorrhage in debt. It is better run than Ohio and Michigan also.

In CA, after prop 13 gutted local government budgets, the counties sued the state over unfunded mandates. For decades the state gad passed things that they required the counties to do and left the counties to find the funding. Prop 13 restricted counties' ability to raise money. The suit ended with the CA Supreme Court ruling that the state had to provide funding for any program the state required counties to carry out.
