matt being left alone to pay bills while taking a shift at a literal bar, students who look 20+ suddenly starting highschool with zero background information, students not showing up to school for weeks and no ones parents being called, somehow the school is open for free range at night with no security system whatsoever, weapons being moved in and out and never found, Alaric at parties with students, screaming and fighting in other corridors while the schools are having dances/prom, teachers disappearing with no questions LIKE SERIOUSLY DOES THIS TOWN EVEN HAVE A POLICE STATION???

I know a girl who worked grade 4 full time, then still needed to work her tanning job 20h a week just to cover her 1 bedroom apartment rent and her student loan. Her parents were paying her phone, and she budgeted 100 a week for food. Had maybe $6 left over a paycheck

my mom was in the hospital and doctors weren't sure if she was going to live and kept calling us in to "say goodbye"(she survived) but my school threatened to hold me back my grade 12 year even though I still would have graduated with honours with my grades saying "your absences aren't excused unless she actually died" my dad had to rage at the school board so I could graduate. Schools give absolutely no shits about what their students are going through just holding power over them.
