we know, all wuwa players know, that mavuika is based of a different culture than augusta but augusta ACTUALLY represent the culture accurately on her design but mavuika is wearing a latex, modern suit with a motorcycle.

Guys i hate Genshin. And i hate the Pyro Archoms design. But the chin tattoo ? Its inspired of the Maori and is not representing it. There is a difference. It wouldnt make sense that the Maori culture is in the game like in the real world

i really hate Mauvika, she's a half baked character with empty writting and racist design but Augusta would've been so much worse if they got replaced with no explanation. neither of them would be good as the pyro archon

i think the argument with augusta is that she actually rappresent what she is supposed to and gives off the correct vibes, something that hoyo doesn’t even try to do with its designs. From Augusta’s culture you can see they did their researches while with Mauvika she just has the name

Finally something to show towards people who compare Mavuika and Augusta 😭 One thing I wanted with Mavuika tho is for her to look atleast as intimidating as Augusta. Imo she lacks the 'aura' of someone who's supposed to be a 'God' in their Nation. Ty for the great analysis! ❤

The problem is, Mavuika's design is so bad and has almost nothing to do with Maori that you could replace her with any red-haired warrior woman and it would even be better

I agree, but the whole “what Mavuika should’ve been” is clearly referring to the effort that was put into her design. Both are leaders of their nation, but only Augusta gives off an aura of authority. Both are based on specific cultures, but only Augusta and Septimont as a whole represent their corresponding cultures. Mavuika does not radiate the aura and presence that she is supposed to, and doesnt represent the culture she’s based off, thats why fans always say Augusta is what Mavuika shouldve been.

Im so glad you pointed out mavuikas maori influence as most of the time when people talk about the representation of natlan, they often forget that mavuika is MAORI not latina or african(which she can still be tho, mixed people exist)

another difference although not as impacting but still a nice addition is that augusta has an amazing eng va. like the accent (although not roman) shines through and makes her so imposing befitting her status. also side note mavuika has the pyro element while augusta is going to be an electro character

I would like to add about the complaint about plagiarism from genshin fans. Updates are created a year in advance. Considering that wuwa had its first anniversary, Augusta could have been in the oven for a long time. So she can't be a copy of Mavuika [tears]

Venti looks like a normal bard, ei wears a normal kimono, zhongli wears a suit, furina looks more like royalty. Archons design were never supposed to have a god like figure but blend with the citizens of their nation so that argument falls short

what most genshin fans failed to realize is that when genshin takes inspiration from another culture they're not taking the entire culture they're just taking some aspects of the culture implementing it in their game and doing a few modifications to it to fit the law all they're doing is just taking a few Inspirations and that's it but for some reason people like to think that they should do representations as well when they really don't have to the only time representations needs to be represented is when they're taking almost the entirety of the culture and implementing it in their game

I'm italian okay and I'm honestly so mad when people compare them bc hello? they're literally based on two different things? it's lowkey r4c1st to say and Mavuika should be like Augusta omg 😭 But call me crazy but I think that the fact Augusta actually looks like Mavuika was probably made by the devs on purpose 💔
