Hairstylist here, the photo shows the curls brought to the front are curled towards the face, with the bangs curled back. Usually for Hollywood waves we curl one side towards the face and continue all the way around the head instead of both sides away from the face for the bombshell/casual look. Hope this helps!

Hairstylist here - the video you did before this, was perfect!!! Your hair is GORGEOUS And it doesn’t look exactly like that picture, bc you have more hair than she does. Way more, way heavier. So it won’t look the same, and I think yours looks better honestly. Maybe try using a mousse??

Something my hair stylist did on my wedding day to keep my curls in place all night long was drench the curls in hairspray and then dry it with a dryer!! It was like cement but boy did my hair stay put for the whole day 💅

i think it might be the wand!! either try a bigger barrel or use a clamp - i use a clamp and they turn out so much nicer and they stay in longer and give volume at the roots AS LONG AS you know how to use them right 💞

i think that the curls are way too tight and wavy because of looking at your hair it looks like a lott of waves and looking at the picture it looks like the curls are alot appart and not that tight (idk if it helps or im just wrong but thats just my opinion)
