I did it to save my life. To breathe easier. To move freely. To live fuller. To have more opportunities. To be more present. To stop missing out. Loose skin came with everything I’ve gained since becoming healthier. And while I’m proud of what it represents, it’s also okay to say: it’s heavy. It gets in the way. It hinders my movement. It’s inconvenient. So yes, I’m getting surgery to remove it. Not because I’m ashamed of where I’ve been, but because I’m ready for the next chapter. I’ll be just as proud of the scars from surgery as I am of the skin that got me here. Both tell the story of a woman who chose to fight for herself. @memomeme_101… let me make this entirely clear. I didn’t lose weight so that you, or anyone else, would think I look better. I lost weight to feel better. And if the loose skin or scars leave me looking “worse” than before? I don’t care. Because I feel better than ever. This was never about looking differently. It’s always been about living differently. This body—loose skin, scars, stretch marks—is the reason I’m here. It’s a battleground. And it’s a reminder of everything I’ve fought for… and won. ✨
