Always get the mums commenting they’d never leave their child - Makes me laugh how people think they are so much better than others, reality is they probably don’t get the opportunity like you just have and a lot of it is pure jealousy. Hope you had the best time and what a beautiful baby❤️

I left my 4 month old for an hour, AN HOUR..to go watch my eldest son perform for his college playing guitar, it was his first ever performance and he was so nervous and I didn’t want to miss it. The babysitter (paternal grandmother) called saying she was not settling, screaming and was very distressed. I went straight home and when I walked in my 4 month old let out a literal sigh of relief to see me and was doing the “breath breath ah” thing when they have no cry left…honestly broke me, I felt so guilty as she was obviously traumatised by being separated from me. I never left her again for a couple of years after that

We did this with my first when he was 10months old. We came back and he didn’t have a clue who we were! Never did that again 😂

this young couple do not need to be demonised for having 2 nights away from their baby. many mums return to work when their baby is 6 weeks of age and place them in childcare/nurseries for 8 to 10 hours a day. Parents are adults who need to adult too. Having wonderful family to care for your most precious possession is a blessing and privilege. We all make decisions as parents that are good with us but may not be with others so just let each to their own. baby was safe, in loving home environment with people she knew. hope ypu had a lovely time. x
