We (black folks) are a unique mix of African, European and native American ancestry which makes us a distinct ethnic group tied to the united states. We have African ancestry but are not African, Euro ancestry but not European, native ancestry but not fully native. That's why Dubois called our blackness the great problem of the 20th century - there was no where to put us, no where for us to go.

The only people who thought that you were an immigrant are those Europeans living in Europe! When I traveled and hear your people speak to them about America, they don’t usually believe them.They don’t teach Americans history to Europeans the way they teach us in other black countries. They are taught that you are an immigrant who came for a better life hence why they always tell you to go back to Africa during an argument while us black foreigners are taught that you came to the Americas in the 1500’s as slaves just like Latin America 🤷🏽♀️

i honestly feel like the diaspora wars are some form of psyop. because who in their right mind would think Black Americans are immigrants? i haven't seen anyone say that myself, but i've seen a bunch of other Black Americans say they were accused of being immigrants or descended from immigrants (and i believe them), and i don't understand how anyone could come to that conclusion
