This this THIS. I have mixed feelings about dolphins I captivity. I feel it should be only happen because of rescue situations ans they can’t survive in the wild, BUT only if they’re given a good quality of life.

at the same time winter's body could have been sustenance for other marine life. nature is cruel, and a stepping in just because we think an animal is cute when they're still just a wild animal, there is ethical quandaries about that at the very least

I'm anti cap, but *some* anti cap folk are OVERLY negative. There are people working in these facilities that care SO much for these animals and they do their best, even if it is FAR from ideal. It isn't all abuse!

I have to say, when I visited Winter I was surprised at how the Clearwater Marine Aquarium wasn’t overly “touristy”. It showed that they cared more about the care of the animals rather than being flashy and attractiony.

idk if this is still the case but when i went all of the animals they had and kept couldn’t be released and they also do rehab animals and release them when they can be
