i'd correct this saying this way: two intelligent people can fall in love. The point is that you can ignore crushes. You can love someone with all your heart and still hide it, just as much you can hate someone and pretend to love them. All you need to do is be rational, to focus on planning and not emotions, as much as you have them. Intelligent people will reflect on others' mistakes, how love can be a mistake, like for many great minds that ended up miserable for said emotion, and that sometimes It can be only attraction provoked by the need of reproduction. Often Intelligent people also think about status, accomplishments, career, so they're gonna keep their focus on that. Two intelligent people CAN fall in love, the question is: will they show it or ignore It?
