It's been years since I've seen someone use a floor jack. If you can use a scrap piece of flooring against the wall. It will spread out the force of the jack plate in the wall so you don't accidently blow through the drywall.

Many ways to do it. Time consuming and knuckle breaking. Floors I did still tight 20 years later. Contractor work has gaps 1 year later
