@anxiouslyalej: How To Command Respect Through Your Actions ⬇️ 1️⃣ Say less, observe more. People reveal who they are through actions. Stop filling awkward silences with explanations—let their behavior speak. 2️⃣ Stop rewarding bad behavior. Attention—even negative attention—is a reward. Don’t argue, don’t chase. Let them feel your absence. 3️⃣ Master emotional discipline. If they can’t trigger you, they can’t control you. Regulate and validate yourself. 4️⃣ Enforce boundaries without debate. Boundaries don’t need essays. A simple “no” or change in access is enough. 5️⃣ Be unpredictable in your responses. Toxic people thrive on patterns. When you stop reacting the way they expect, you stop feeding their game. 6️⃣ Invest energy only in the respectful. Watch who earns your time. If they don’t, redirect your focus to your own growth. 7️⃣ Stay detached from outcomes. Real power is knowing you’ll be okay with or without them. That energy commands respect like nothing else. The most devastating thing you can make someone feel? That they don’t matter. Not anger. Not rage. Indifference is power. Psychological studies show that ignoring disrespectful behavior is far more effective than reacting emotionally. That’s why prisons use isolation as the harshest punishment - because being invisible hurts more than any words ever could. Negative attention is still attention. If you want to teach someone how to treat you, stop begging. Stop over-explaining. Distance + disinterest = respect. 🔍 Keywords: avoidant attachment, anxious attachment, avoidant ex blocked me, dismissive avoidant breakup, healing from breakup, emotionally unavailable men, anxious avoidant dynamic, blocked after breakup, emotional detachment, emotional healing. #feminineenergy #womensdatingadvice #blackcatenergy #datingforwomen #relationships #datingadvice #avoidantattachment #datinginyour30s #datingcoachforwomen

This is fine. But...if someone is asking for clarity, withdrawl is just stonewalling

The craziest part is that they will paint your estrangement as the toxic behavior of stonewalling them

Indifference is more powerful than hate! Thought my daughter this when she was in high school…people know when they’ve wronged you and it drives them nuts when you move on unbothered as if they simply don’t exist in your world anymore!

But the problem is when i was young like a teenager my mom used to give me silent treatment whenever something didn't go according to her wish or i couldn't meet her expectations. she literally made me feel like i didn't exist at all and i felt so awful and hurt. so now whenever i distant myself from someone who disrespected me i feel bad. i feel guilty..like I'm hurting someone the same way i was hurt before.

Some of us grew up with silent treatment so we are somewhat “immune” to the manipulation tactics and smear campaigns as adults :)

My mom would give me the silent treatment. It would last for days. Days without my mum saying anything to me, not even looking at me. I'd be talking to her, and she'd just straight up ignore me and wouldn't respond. It hurt.. So badly.

This why narcissist use the silent treatment because it like a way to keep you line that’s why all their victims always apologize and ignoring someone do something to the brain it really impacts a person

I’ve learned to fake an emotional response based off of the initial blow. Otherwise, if i give them silence or indifference, i have experienced them taking it to higher extremes to try to get a reaction🥺
