@dailymail: From the moon landings to Katy Perry's trip to space, conspiracy theorists are obsessed with proving that humans have never really left the planet. Now, internet-dwelling theorists have latched on to a strange new video which shows a glass of water on China's Tiangong Space Station. In the video, an open glass of water appears to stand, undisturbed, on a table - despite the microgravity environment. Tap the link for the full story on DailyMail.com. Just watch the first video that comes up under ‘glass of water in space’ hope this helps👍

Everyone is laughing at the the reporting but a simple search tells you they don’t use glasses/cups to drink water in space, it’s usually stored in a plastic pouch to prevent it from floating around.. so rightfully suspicious

Actually, the video is real and it’s not fake at all. That glass of water was part of a live science lesson from China’s Tiangong space station. The reason the water didn’t float away is due to surface tension. In microgravity, water clings to the sides of the glass and stays in place unless disturbed. The glass itself was also secured to the table, likely with Velcro or adhesive. This isn’t a mistake, it’s a great demonstration of fluid behavior in space. Physics still applies, even up there. Astronauts and space agencies have explained this in detail, and the full clip includes more experiments that clearly show they’re in microgravity. Daily Mail seriously needs to stop entertaining this absurdity conspiracies. It’s embarrassing.

they're right tho, the space station is clearly fake, you can tell because they spent billions of dollars and hired thousands of people to pretend to work on it without revealing the secret, but they left a glass of water in view of a camera so obviously it's a fake

so... a BILION dollar deep fake space station... and they forgot to remove a glass of water from frame

People really showing they didn't pass science GCSE. There is no force on the water. So its formed to the shape of the glass in a clump. So many comments acting like they are smart for thinking its not real 😭 Our education system really has failed.

Do schools in your country not teach basic science? The reason the water cup stays upright in China’s space station is that in microgravity, surface tension replaces gravity, making the water stick to the cup’s walls

I mean, look up the physics of water in space. This is how it acts when it’s not touched or moved in a vessel.

It’s literally simple physics. Water tension. Oxygen and hydrogen have a cohesive bond, making water molecules pretty much want to stick together. In this scenario, due to surface tension, the water wants to stick together the cup essentially

There’s no external force so the water remains as a clump in the glass 🤣
