@talhaghannam: Dunya's Delusion [57:20] This world... is nothing but a delusion. What is the finest garment known to man? Silk. But silk... is nothing more than the spit of a worm. What is the sweetest, purest food? Honey. But honey... is simply the vomit of a bee. What is the most intoxicating scent? Musk. But musk... is just the secreted mucus of a gazelle. What is the most nourishing drink? Milk. But milk… flows from the breasts of a cow, from between blood and filth. And the greatest physical pleasure? It comes from the meeting of two urinary passages. If this is the source of the greatest delights in this world... what does it say about the world itself? Yet within this is a profound mercy. 1. It exposes the nature of the pleasures we chase— why become attached to them? 2. If we can look past the filth to enjoy these worldly delights, why can we not look past the hardship of worship to taste its sweetness? 3. Even in this life, beauty isn't found in the object itself— but in its purpose. This world becomes beautiful... when it’s used for the right end. 4. And every one of these began impure, but became pleasurable only through purification. So too, can the soul. All of this… captured in a single passage in the Qur’an: وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا مَتَـٰعُ ٱلْغُرُورِ And this world... is nothing but a delusion.
