Mrs. Bennet gets misunderstood sometimes I think. She had 5 girls. AND no boys. The choices for women then were either get married or make yourself useful to a male family member who had all the property and money. She knew her job. Get these girls married so they didn’t end up on the streets. Could she be superficial and ditsy? Yeah. But don’t overlook the hand she was dealt. This is just my opinion obviously. Something I thought about at the 20th anniversary showing.

This is why Hollywood is dying. They refused to make romances, look at the romance book genre how many books were printed in how many languages in Hollywood can’t figure out how to translate that into movie tickets.

Watching 1995 after 2005 is a let down. You will be bored, the chemistry and beautiful cinematography is not there, and there is no epic soundtrack. I said what I said.
