i used to struggle with being in the friend zone until i realised i was objectifying her by deifying her. she wasn't a friend; she was a trophy i was trying to win. I've since realised people are FAR more entertaining when you treat them like people you want to get to know better rather than someone you wish to achieve the affection of. I found further peace when i realised people are exhausting, and I've been a recluse ever since💀 and since coming to THAT conclusion I've realised that peace is boring.. i wonder what I'll learn next🤔

Guys in the friend zone place themselves there, and it’s something they have control over, but it’s clear to literally everyone around that they are in that zone with those feelings, and honestly it’s pretty manipulative of girls to keep them around the way they do. Most of my mates who end up in the zone are neurodivergent which is why they can’t pass that social bridge of dating without trying to be friends. So like, from a third party it’s a woman manipulating a mentally handicapped person because “she’s not responsible for his feelings” which is true but also not everything we do has to be because it’s our responsibility. Don’t be a jerk. Tell him no, set him boundaries. As a man I’ve had to do that with a woman, because I felt bad she was wasting her efforts in vain. I did it the second it dawned on me, even tho the attention was nice. Most guys do this. Because it’s a nice thing to do.

I just hope as I get to know my guy friend online, he likes me for me as a person and as his friend and not just a trophy to win or for me to like him back...I hope he's ACTUALLY getting to know ME and not winning me over, I secretly like him but he still dosen't know who I really am and I don't really know who he is too. before I show my true feelings I want to see who stays and who leaves, and who really loves you for being you even if you friendzone them.
