Look at what OKC got in return for PG. Obviously the picks have to be conveyed to good players and then trade fairness is decided retroactively. Counting FRP in a trade is most certainly overrated to some extent but it’s about maximizing value and playing the odds that 4 FRP has a better chance of landing a great player than 3 FRP. If those picks don’t pan out, it’s not bc one side won over the other, it’s bc the franchise sucked at drafting and developing.

First Round picks are better assets. Can be moved with or without salary. Can be traded for future picks. And you might find the next Gem/Championship role player with the pick. Picks do matter.

16th pick was Salary Dump for KCP, secondary Swap pick of Wash/Suns was Salary dump for Cole Anthony - 2 Most likely in 20s pick for Bane , who has Straight pick for KD (FVV + Landale + 3 Unprotected Picks and phoenix Swap back if want just picks deal)
