I'm schizophrenic. I got denied my first time because I was so accustomed to trying to seem "normal" and "fit in" that I made a habit of hiding myself. I was told by my psychiatrist that I should just tell the truth no matter how ugly. So I replied, was honest about the way I feel and think. I was accepted. For those with mental problems, if you need help, be honest not ashamed, it's not your fault.

i work in disability law, the advice i give the most is to paint a CLEAR picture of all your symptoms, you have to be detailed even if the information is embarrassing. those daily living questionnaires should be superrr thorough!!

I’m frequently fatigued and it’s unpredictable which causes me to be unable to concentrate which requires me to need reminders and I need help as I have pain that interferes with my daily activities which causes me to need to lie down and I have limited use of motion all of which causes me to be slow.

unpredictable symptoms come n go, frequently panic attacks, fatigue body wide shutdown, focus unable to concentrate cognitive issues, needs help reminders sticky notes, pain interferes with walking, sitting sleeping etc etc, limited use as a functional limitation.

I have a family doctor — who doesn’t believe any of my diagnoses and won’t agree to anything . Says that the doctors that diagnosed me with ADHD , BPD, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, anxiety are QUACKS . He thinks these are not real diagnosis.

i got denied disability had to do the appeal quickly but I was bed bound recovering from spinal surgery a worker had to come to my home she looked at all my medical equipment and said why the hell did you get denied lol

I need this for VA disability. Sprained my ankle and th treatment was to tie my boots tighter. My ankle was purple and I limped to work. 10 years later and it’s unstable and causes me to fall frequently
