That’s a male Sawyer beetle. They have strong jaws and they do bite. Pretty sure they’re not from Earth.

I can 100% confirm THAT is what I call a pincher, aka pine beetle, friggen things can get huge and you can hear them flying by cause their wings click 💀

June bugs. The click. Man do I have a story about one. It’s long but I’ll try to shorten it. My family and bf at the time took a family trip to BC for camping. We stopped on a mountain area where you could get ice cream. We were eating it all together when my bf sees this bug on the table. Immediately he said “ew gross… I’m not sitting there” well I guess the bug took offence because next thing I knew the bug jumped and flew at him. There he is running around picnic tables screaming for this bug to get away and nobody can see the bug so all the other people were staring like 😳👀.. Anyways, he finally loses the thing and we finish up eating, get back in our cars and start driving again. As I’m driving I look in the review mirror and see these moving antenna like things. Thinking it might be something sticking out of our bags. So I ask him to see what it is because I am driving and all I heard was “STOP THE CAR!!! ITS THE FUCKING BUUUUG!!!”… I had to pull over immediately because he’s freaking out and when I stopped, he basically stop dropped and rolled. My parents and brothers family stopped, worried something happened… nope.. Just the little June Bug he insulted 😂
