The airplane was lodged in a building where he was sitting would've been around the third floor of that building so if he walked out of the plane he had to walk out of the building this isn't adding up

It’s only now going to start hitting him on the reality and magnitude of what happened. Hes going to need alot of support when he gets home and it’s quiet and all he has is his thoughts. To much chaos right now to even begin to process his feelings
