But they do mean to consider the potential for unnecessary caution around countries that are simply existing in a different cultural realm than our own. China, Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, India, etc. All of these countries are worth exploring, if only to expand your mind and connect with strangers different than yourself. Every individual has a backstory. Every culture has a historical foundation worth understanding. Does this absolve countries from their problems or wrongdoing? No, especially not governments. Through exploring and sharing love across borders, not only do you start to learn what it’s truly like in a foreign land, but you impact the locals’ perception of your country as well.
