@pbsnews: Indonesia’s Mount Lewotobi Laki Laki volcano erupted Tuesday evening, sending plumes of ash and gas more than six miles into the atmosphere. The orange-hued mushroom-shaped clouds spewing from the volcano in the south-central part of the country could be seen from more than 90 miles away and prompted the delay or cancellation of dozens of flights to and from Bali. Residents of nearby villages were evacuated and officials warned that future rain events could trigger mudslides of the volcanic ash. Indonesia sits in the Ring of Fire, a horse-shoe shaped zone around the Pacific Ocean known for high levels of volcanic activity and earthquakes. #news #pbsnews #indonesia #volcano #eruption
