I saw this scenario in an airport when I was 18 and I did nothing. I was in line to board my flight and they were at the next gate. I could tell something was clearly wrong and he threw her carry on into the trash and she was crying. I still think about it all the time.

I’d talk to her, idgaf about how the man reacts as long as it’s not towards her. If you ask if she’s ok and she says yes but is weird about it then I’d start yapping, giving her the speech of what’s what , even a seed planted can grow someone’s thoughts to be able to realize what they are in even if they don’t leave right away. I find in the trafficking industry, depending on the levels it’s a little harder to tell, I know girls who I would have never have guessed there bfs were trafficking them until after they broke up or had to go into a safe house 🙈

Working in hospitality we are taught signs and to always remember everyone involved and call security immediately. I noticed something one time and asked the check in man why he was so not concerned… and he said they come every weekend they love it here! I called our security. I saw the same man maybe 2 months later at one of our restaurants with different young girl. Called. He has not been back on property.

I never thought about this but, it makes me think to a color consultant I did man came in with a YOUNG woman wanted to dye her hair and he was the one leading anytime I asked her questions he answered. Is it common for them to change their appearance

I’m from Ohio too. If I remember our state is one of the worst. Something I experienced and I hear a lot of is our mothers selling our bodies.

I haven’t been in this exact situation but I have witnessed a young teenage school kid being harassed by a creep on the bus, that was full of people and this guy was brazen. Listened in kept watching and made eye contact with her, I then asked if she was okay, she nodded but I said for her to move next to me. But she didn’t want to I said okay and that I will keep watch over her. I stayed on that bus until she got off to make sure he didn’t follow her. So I feel in this particular situation you mentioned I’d try and do the same if it was safe to do so or keep watch and report if needed. I don’t think I’d be able to standby and do nothing.

My mother was in a relationship like that with my former step dad. He was 23 years older than her. Even as small child I knew it was how bad and toxic it was, I just didn’t know how to articulate it. My grandma removed me from the home, unfortunately my mom didn’t make it out. I really hope to use this platform to help others in similar situations, I’m just not ready for it yet mentally.
