I was in fitness instructor with a resting heartrate of 55. After having Covid I was basically bedbound with my heartrate going up to 135 just getting out of bed and walking to my dresser. A cardiologist told me I need to exercise more and control my anxiety. I’ve since been diagnosed with severe POTS, Orthostatic intolerance, and small fiber neuropathy. I could still spit on that Dr 5 yrs later.

I’m only 31 and this is the exact reason I’ve given up, they just don’t give any cares and don’t even pretend to listen or care to what you say, especially as a woman. Then I get yelled at from men in my life that I don’t take it seriously. No, I take it seriously, they do not.

I’m so sorry ❤️🩹😓 that’s abysmal. I also noticed since doctors are getting repeat infections - their bandwidth for curiosity is super short.

PLEASE report that doctor. It’s absolutely outrageous what they get away with. Also, start recording all you appointments. It’s much easier to prove malpractice when you have it recorded. ❤️

I'm so sorry. I've had to say to doctors, "please write in my chart that you are declining to investigate any cardiac causes of my symptoms. I will be requesting a copy of your notes from this visit."

Everything you’re feeling is REAL. I dealt with a horrible cardiologist as well and I had to go to a different doctor. Praying you find a good docotr who will actually hear you out. ( I have fibromyalgia, POTS & long covid )

I have an amazing GP (and a woman), who immediately agreed I have POTS, but in order to rule other things out I have to go to the cardiologist. And there are NO women cardiologists in, like, the whole county..... I'm SO scared to go. But I'm trying to be brave, cause I know what's wrong and my GP is on my side 😬
