I think to be fair you need to weigh these actions up against that which they are intended to prevent: US insolvency and the resulting Ray Dalio style collapse and the end of Pax Americana. That’s why my favourite comment here is the response above about how quickly and incautiously this was done. If I had to defend that, I would cite the extremely limited time Trump has to make a difference to the budget before he has to face midterms. I’m not claiming that holds water though.

So read an article today where Medicare will run out of funding in 2033. So 8 years from now, millions and millions of Americans will be without Healthcare. Wonder how much Americans will care about all these stats when thier kids cant see a doctor because we are over 40 trillion in debt.
