You are literally standing on the border of North Cascades Nat'l Park. From the top of Maple Pass, the view to northwest is Cordero Peak, to southwest is Mt Frisco, and the lake below you is Ann Lake. I agree; this is a spectacular loop trail.

I hope you had some winter gear and enough stuff to survive a few days, because it can turn into a blizzard and 2 feet of snow in the matter of minutes up there. People die in the Rockies in the summer from freezing.

Please believe that doing that in Winter is very different. Just saying that you need to experience winter, in different places, before making choices. With that said, visit the south. Best wishes wherever y’all go. Much love. ❤️
