Hold your nail down and let your husband cut it down. Clean it and put a finger splint on it. Until your real nail grows out. That way you not hitting it and hurting it more. So it will heal faster.

Don’t take it off just yet only thing you can do is try to get a finger nail chipper & cut the fake nail down as much as you can until it heal that’s really all you can do & keep your bandaid on it
