Love cannot be used to keep someone a prisoner. It's no longer love at that point, it's fear. If the second truly loves the 3rd they understand their need to fly up and fulfill that desire in them. 1 needs to love themself since the only other being in their world doesn't feel the same.

I think love is enough in a sense that if you really do love someone and want them to stay you will put the effort in to improve the situation and relationship if things aren’t going well I don’t think you can claim you truly love someone if you aren’t willing to put the effort into that love I also think that love as to be shared by both sides both people have to want to commit to improving the relationship if one of those people don’t feel that same amount of love and don’t want to take steps to improve the situation than it will never get better so I think the question really isn’t “is love enough?” But rather “do those two individuals truly love each other enough to repair what is broken?”

I love the imagery. Love is to me something personal that doesn't live in the shared moments but in our hearts. Love is simpler, easier, when love is shared but it is not always so and it doesn't detract from it. But we do need to accept that if love is not shared, that we cannot (and should not try to) force it in someone else. We can simply enjoy this moment, as fleeting as may be, of pure beauty and joy.

Your concept reminds me of Sondheim and Lapine’s Passion (1994), with Fosca as the first person, Giorgio as the second, and Clara as the third. Might be good to watch that and study their dynamics. It’s a little different ‘cuz Clara loves Giorgio and her necessity to go is more obligatory, but I think it’s super amazing and might help with these big concepts!

Love isn’t enough. Sometimes it just doesn’t work. Sometimes someone doesn’t know how to show that love. Sometimes they think they’re doing things that will help but in reality they’re hurting their loved one. Sometimes you’re just not compatible, even though you love that person, and that’s OK.
