@beanieblakey: Stokley Carmichael (also known as) Kwame Ture was an American activist who played a major role in the civil rights movement in the United States and the global pan-African movement. He’s widely known for popularizing the phrase ‘Black Power’ during the 60’s. Kwame was one of the first Black Americans to advocate for Black self determination while also challenging the ideals of nonviolence and integration. Happy Juneteenth 🤎🤍🖤!!
