it is a big drastic change for a lot of new college students but it will get better I'm a mom of college grad from Northwestern University and her first yr was a bit hard not too bad but it got much much better to the point she didn't want to graduate because she would have to leave she loves her time there. She graduated a month ago starting work Right after her graduation she was back home for 1 wk and she moved back to where she used to have her apartment for school. she takes 2 trains to get to her job she's so much happy she gets to go run, walk and go see the sunset with some of her friends that still in Northwestern. Everything is hard and scary at the beginning because you are out of your comfort zone but it gets so much better. You got this ! you're stronger than you think I have friends and family that graduated from University of Illinois Urban and they all said that got them through it was them keeping busy, active and making friends. Good Luck to you and sending blessings your way just 4 more yrs hun time goes by so fast 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Girl I did the same thing. Instead of freshman 15 I lost like 40 lbs from the depression 😩

okay it gets better but no you guys need to allow her to go threw these emotions. these are milestones. I had the worst first roommate story, after moving or rather she moved me. I ended up with the beat group. college was fun. you guys have to grow up. we are not always gonna be here.

I called my older brother from a pay phone (tells you how long ago this was) and he told me to give it two weeks and if I hated it, he would come get me and I could live with him. After two weeks, I was LOVING college life! Give it time honey!!

Granted I’m in my late 40’s. My parents couldn’t drop me off but my best friend’s parents dropped us off. About a month in is when I really felt it. I called home, cried like crazy wanting to go back home. My mom calmed me down and said I needed to remember that I was there for a purpose. To better myself for a greater future. Those words gave me the courage to get it done.
