Shampooing every day is only good if your hair is greasy. If not it don’t make sense and don’t help w hair growth

I have a question, I also got a Bob and I’ve been growing it out the past 4 months and I’ve had really good length retention and growth but I don’t know when would the best time to get a trim. How often do you get them? Do you go by when you start to see some split ends or just a dusting every few months? Thank you!! ☺️
