This show was based on a fan fiction and you cannot convince me otherwise. They took one of the only bits of agency Christine had in the first show and made it pointless. As much as I love Erik and Christine, it was clear in the first show that Christine wasn't in love with him. To think that same Christine during the time Erik's lair was being raided would sleep with him, confess her love, and return to Raoul is just insane. The way that, Christine, Meg, Erik, Raoul, and Madame Giry all coencidentally happen to be in Coney Island ten years later is egregious. Roaul is apparently using Christine for money and they have to go to Coney Island for that. The phantom also happens to be doing a 'freak show' (which is so out of character for him) where Madame Gury and Meg happen to also be a part of it. Also, why did Raoul have a gambling and drinking problem? That was never a thing in the first Show. This show makes me perplexed, angry, and hysterical all at the same. Anyways... funny video.
