my ex brother in-law (in Aus) played with a group on Xbox for years, 2 in Aus, 1 in the UK, 3 in different USA states. one of their USA mates was diagnosed with stage 5 cancer. they all as a group surprised him by flying/driving to him to spend 3 weeks together 🥺 they pooled their money to take him on a road trip, take him to Disney and spend some quality time gaming side by side.

My dad’s online gamer friends he’s had since 2012 all mourned him when he died in 2017 and have been there for my brother & I even more than our own family still to this day. Gamer friends are built different frfr 😭🫶🏻
