when I was pregnant with my first daughter, I'd sit on the back patio and sing to her. I always got a sense that I was being watched. thought nothing of it. my daughter died after a full term birth. because of medical negligence, 3 days in her heart gave out. after she passed, a tree with thorns and beautiful yellow flowers started to grow where I would normally sit and sing to her. I had lived at this home for at least 2 years and that tree/bush had never been there before. it grew to be so beautiful. I said it was a gift in mourning because they would listen to me sing.

I went to a fairy fort in Ireland, not knowing much about them as an Aussie. I sure as heck acknowledged their presence and thanked them for allowing me into their space and showing me the beauty of Ireland. I didnt see a single drop of rain until the day I left the country 🙃

One of my daughter's coins she got from the tooth fairy (no it's not about that kind of fairy) dropped under our couch just at the edge. I looked everywhere under the couch, it wasn't there. I said, "okay, I got this" and we put two shiny dimes under there and said "if you give her back her coin, you can have both of these." next day, dimes were gone, she got her coin back. I'm always warning people to be nice and don't talk smack about them and you'll be just fine

I'm an American that lives in Illinois. We moved into a new house when my daughter was about 3. Next to the house was a graveyard and an empty lot. While unpacking the moving truck my daughter was playing in the empty lot. When I went to check on her she introduced me to her "imaginary" friend Oscar the wood gnome. She stated that Oscar told her that as long as we didn't mess with his house, and old gnarled wooden fence post, that he would keep us safe from the lights in the graveyard. I politely thanked Oscar by talking to the air and we went inside. I wasn't sure what to think of the whole thing and almost dismissed it. That night we were outside and saw lights floating in the graveyard. Over the years we had to stop different people from cutting down Oscars home. That house ended up being very haunted, but in an almost begnin way. We just ignored everything that happened. I can only imagine how much worse it would have been with out Oscar's protection. Not sure if gnomes are a relation to fairies but if you ever encounter them like we did be kind to them.
