there was a Dev who said she had two stack overflow accounts, one to ask a question, and the other to answer herself but WRONG. and people piled on that because they don't really want to help others, but they LOVE correcting people 😂

My last experience on stack overflow : asked a question, got no answer, had a statement from moderator to forget it there was no solution, found one and edited my question, was told by moderator to put it in an answer, which I did, then was commented by random user as asking a question which I should find the answer if I did minimal research, which I answered I did, to be asked again by moderator to put it in a answer, which I had already, and which I reminded him, after that he erased all his comments and mine and made me look like a fool.

Probably embed it into a parameterized stored procedure so you can filter the CTE inside rather than gather all data and filter it later.

I got an unhelpful answer that told my question was wrong and that it "looks like you are trying to reinvent the triangular wheel". two years after that, docker implemented the feature I was looking for.

Iirc this behavior was so destructive in terms of the community and affected their image so badly, a few years ago (or… maybe it was almost a decade…?) Stack Overflow posted a public announcement telling their own members to stop being such buttholes. Or at least, that’s what I remember. I think they also instituted new TOS rules & enforcement. I don’t feel like it worked.

anytime I have EVER used discord servers, stack overflow, Reddit, other forums, etc. to try and solve problems, I never get responses. ChatGPT might be wrong until the 10th message, but atleast it's something rather than waiting months for nothing

I gave an answer on StackOverflow once and ended it with “hope this helps” and some neckbeard edited it saying some BS about how StackOverflow is a wiki and shouldn’t have that kind of language. Needless to say I never contributed again.
