As a Zimbabwean who has lived in the UK for over 25 years, I think people gets excited about Robert telling Blair off. The side they don't look at is how an average Zimbabwean is living today in Zimbabwe post the Mugabe era! The man only cared about building his own empire! celebrating Robert is an insult!

Mugabe didn't know how his decisions would affect the nation, his decision was right but probably it was carried out prematurely before zims had the capabilities to takeover both the land and the economy and before he had made the right relationships with other nations who could trade with him.

I’ve lived my entire life in Zimbabwe, and while the minimum wage isn’t ideal, it’s enough to survive and, importantly, there’s room to be industrious and create something for yourself. In contrast, came here almost 10yrs in the UK, even with a 40-hour workweek, the cost of living can be so high that it feels like you’re constantly chasing survival. Mugabe had many failings, no doubt, but he wasn’t entirely wrong🫡 in Zimbabwe, you might not have money but at least you can afford to take a day off
