I’m seeing a lot comments misunderstanding Vegetas character in the Android/Cell Saga. He spent this time with his supposed son from the future and during their time together Vegeta had been rejecting him and had internal conflicts with his affection for Trunks and his family. In the beginning he did nothing but reject them but spending time together in his own way he flexed the pride he had/has for them(introducing cell to trunks) it took seeing his son dying to finally end the internal conflict in his mind and accept that fact he cares.

y'all gotta realize this is when Vegeta truly stopped being evil, he stopped being evil because trunks died out of genuine love for his son and grief for Goku, as wicked as the grief was it still was grief. he apologized to Gohan despite his pride because he put Goku's child in a position to die, Vegeta's unexpected character development here is so underrated

The English dub adding a whole monologue for the characters that wasn't in the original Japanese or the manga is such a problem for me. It's like watching a different character who looks like Vegeta but isn't actually Vegeta

vegeta starts off as a saiyan but through the series he grows into the man that I strive to be, his faults are damning but he doesnt run away or give up, he grows and improves and later learns to love in the most genuine way I've seen, he truly is, the prince of all saiyans 🥹

The two times vegeta power spiked way beyond gokus was when trunks dies and bulma gets slapped this man does not play about his family plain and simple. He had pride for his father and planet but his loves trump that 10x more
